Why Ridgeline

The climb is simple. It is not easy.

Most DPC doctors who struggle don't lack medical skill. They stall on pricing math, Medicare opt-out timing, a non-compete, or the first 100 members. Those are the parts we carry with you.

Run by a working DPC owner

Advice comes from someone who signs the lease, sets the membership fee and answers the after-hours texts. Every template we hand you is in use in a live practice.

Your practice, not ours

No franchise, no revenue share, no lock-in. You own every document, spreadsheet and login we build together.

Lean by default

DPC startups range from a few thousand dollars to six figures. We plan for the low end first and spend only where it brings members in the door.

Prices on the page

Some DPC consultants quote $30,000 to $50,000. Our full six-month partnership is under $10,000, and the first conversation is free.

The route

From first call to first member

A typical Summit Partnership, week by week. Strategy and Basecamp clients take the same route at their own pace.

  1. Weeks 1–2

    Survey the terrain

Your goals, finances and timeline. Local market scan: competing DPC and concierge practices, employer base, and realistic panel size for your hours.

  2. Weeks 3–6

    Build the model

Membership pricing by age band and family cap, a 36-month pro forma, startup budget, break-even member count and what you can pay yourself in month 12.

  3. Weeks 5–10

    Clear the legal path

Entity and tax setup questions for your CPA, Medicare opt-out or non-participation timing, payer exits, non-compete review checklist, patient agreement, and your state's DPC statute.

  4. Weeks 8–14

    Stand up operations

EMR and membership billing, wholesale labs and in-office dispensing, phone and texting, space or micro-office, and the policies that keep your evenings yours.

  5. Weeks 12–24

    Fill the panel

Brand, website and Google profile, local search, a pre-launch waitlist, community talks, and an employer outreach playbook for small businesses.

  6. Opening day

    Reach the ridgeline

Soft launch with founding members, workflow tune-up after the first 30 days, and a 90-day growth check against your pro forma.

Questions

Before you book

Do I actually need a consultant to start a DPC practice?

Not always. Many physicians launch with free resources, conferences and mentors. The discovery call is free so we can tell you if you are one of them. Clients hire us to save months, avoid expensive mistakes, and have someone accountable to their timeline.

Do you work with NPs and PAs?

Yes. We adjust the legal roadmap for your state's scope-of-practice and collaboration rules.

Can you help outside Virginia?

Yes. Sessions are by video and the legal roadmap is built for your state. We work alongside a local healthcare attorney for anything requiring legal advice.

Is this legal or tax advice?

No. We are clinicians and operators. We help you prepare the right questions and documents, and we coordinate with your attorney and CPA, who give the formal advice.

What if I'm converting an existing insurance-based practice?

That's the Practice Conversion engagement. It adds a patient transition plan, payer exit sequencing and a cash-flow bridge for the switch.

What's your refund policy?

If you decide within 14 days of starting Basecamp or Summit that it isn't a fit, we refund the unused portion. Trailhead fees credit toward a larger package for 60 days.
